Our primary school in Port Harcourt, New Town Primary, was reduced to rubble, along with all the surrounding buildings on this estate. We had conducted conference at Ikot Afanga and were on our way back to Uyo, when I asked Superintendent Odu if he could stop in Ekparakwa so I could snap a couple of photos of the location of my very first encounter with the people group known as the Fulani.
